Description

General description

eMcollect Sponge is a sterile sampling device designed for use in the food industry. It comprises a premium quality cellulose sponge measuring 8 x 4 cm and 1.2 to 1.6 cm thick. The sponge is pre-soaked in buffered peptone water (BPW) containing a 10 % neutralizing agent and is used to check the quality of the disinfection processes, even in the presence of residual disinfectants that may be present on the sampled surface. The sponge is packaged in a blue pre-cut sampling bag that is easy to open and features a large writing area for sample information, and an adhesive closure label. Each unit is sterilized by gamma rays to ensure safety and traceability.
