General description

The Adenosine 5’-triphosphate (ATP) Bioluminescent Assay Kit may be employed for the quantitative bioluminescent determination of adenosine 5’-triphosphate (ATP) in samples containing 2x10–12 to 8x10–5 moles/liter. ATP is consumed and light is emitted when luciferase catalyzes the oxidation of D-luciferin.

Application

The ATP assay kit has been used to measure the level of cellular ATP present in isolated mitochondrial fractions from L. donovani promastigotes. [1]

Adenosine 5′-triphosphate (ATP) assay mix has also been used to measure the level of cellular ATP in ATP viability assay.[2][3]

Preparation Note

Reconstitute with 5 ml of sterile water.

Contains luciferase, luciferin, MgSO₄, EDTA, DTT, BSA, and Tricine buffer.
