Netrin-G1a (NTNG1) is also known as laminet 1. It is expressed in axons and is a trans-synaptic adhesion protein. NTNG1 is part of the glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored subfamily of the UNC-6/netrin family.
Especificidad
This antibody shows less than 2% cross-reactivity with rmNetrin-1, rhNetrin-2, and rhNetrin-4.
Inmunógeno
purified, insect cell line Sf 21-derived, recombinant mouse Netrin-G1a.
Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas
Netrin-G1a (NTNG1) stimulates the outgrowth of axons in the thalamo-cortical region of the brain and helps to excite the post-synaptic regions.
Forma física
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose.

Synaptic cell adhesion molecules are increasingly gaining attention for conferring specific properties to individual synapses. Netrin-G1 and netrin-G2 are trans-synaptic adhesion molecules that distribute on distinct axons, and their presence restricts the expression of their cognate receptors, NGL1 and NGL2
Higher brain function is supported by the precise temporal and spatial regulation of thousands of genes. The mechanisms that underlie transcriptional regulation in the brain, however, remain unclear. The Ntng1 and Ntng2 genes, encoding axonal membrane adhesion proteins netrin-G1 and
Brain wiring depends on cells making highly localized and selective connections through surface protein-protein interactions, including those between NetrinGs and NetrinG ligands (NGLs). The NetrinGs are members of the structurally uncharacterized netrin family. We present a comprehensive crystallographic analysis comprising
