• as a tropomyosin receptor kinase (Trk) inhibitor to study the role of TrkA signaling in rats[1]
• as a Trk inhibitor for inducing in vitro injury in retinal Müller glial cells to study the effects of cord blood serum (CBS)[2]
• as a general protein kinase inhibitor to study its effect on in vitro human somatic testicular cell reassembly[3]

Biochem/physiol Actions

K-252a is a selective inhibitor of tyrosine protein kinase. It targets a wide range of protein kinases with IC₅₀ values between 3 and 25nM[3] and the neurotrophin receptor[2]-tropomyosin receptor kinase.[1]
