General description

Method: photometric 0.001 - 0.100 mg/l As Spectroquant^®


The method is analogous to EPA 206.4, APHA 3500-As B, and ASTM D2972-15 A.


This Spectroquant^® Arsenic Reagent Test allows the accurate quantification of the arsenic content in aqueous samples.


Method applied: In acidic solution arsenic compounds are reduced by a reducing-agent mixture consisting of zinc, tin(II) chloride, and potassium iodide to form arsine which reacts in an absorption tube with silver diethyldithiocarbamate to form a red compound that is determined photometrically.
