Autophagy, 10(10), 1844-1857 (2014-08-16)
High-resolution imaging of autophagy has been used intensively in cell culture studies, but so far it has been difficult to visualize this process in detail in whole animal models. In this study we present a versatile method for high-resolution imaging

For the detection and sub-cellular (co)-localization of proteins in the context of the tissue or organism immunostaining in whole mount preparations or on sections is still the best approach. So far, each antibody required its own fixation and antigen retrieval

During development, prenatal and postnatal factors program homeostatic set points to regulate food intake and body weight in the adult. Combinations of genetic and environmental factors contribute to the development of neural circuitry that regulates whole-body energy homeostasis. Brain-derived neurotrophic

Questions

  1. In the specification sheet for S2263 (Sterile filtered sheep serum), it states "Total protein = 6-7.6g%." I am unable to determine what unit g% represents. Could you provide the total protein in this serum in mg/mL?

    1 answer
    1. The term g% is equivalent to g/dL (grams per deciliter or 0.100L). If your serum contains protein in the range of 6-7.6g%, in mg/mL, that would translate to 6-7.6 mg/100 mL or 0.06 - 0.076 mg/mL.
