Application

  • Application of artificial neural networks for enhancing Aspergillus flavipes lipase synthesis for green biodiesel production.: This study explores the use of artificial neural networks to enhance the synthesis of lipase by Aspergillus flavipes, which is crucial for green biodiesel production. The use of Brij® 35 in the optimization process highlights its effectiveness as a nonionic surfactant in biochemical applications (El-Metwally et al., 2023).
  • Solvents and detergents compatible with enzyme kinetic studies of cholinesterases.: This research investigates various solvents and detergents, including Brij® 35, for their compatibility in enzyme kinetic studies involving cholinesterases, underlining the utility of Brij® 35 in biochemical and pharmacological research (Sands et al., 2023).
  • Development of green micellar HPLC-DAD method for simultaneous determination of some sulbactam combinations used in COVID-19 regimen.: The study develops a green micellar high-performance liquid chromatography method using Brij® 35 for the analysis of sulbactam combinations, showcasing its role in pharmaceutical formulations and chemical analysis (Ragab et al., 2023).
  • Enhanced fluorimetric detection of diphenylpyraline HCl using micelle and cyclodextrin mediated approach: Spectrofluorimetric and micellar liquid chromatographic application for either single or combined formulation with caffeine and paracetamol.: This paper discusses the enhancement of fluorimetric detection of diphenylpyraline HCl through the use of Brij® 35, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving analytical sensitivity in pharmaceutical applications (Hammad et al., 2023).
  • Application of micellar liquid chromatography to model ecotoxicity of pesticides. Comparison with immobilized artificial membrane chromatography and n-octanol-water partitioning.: This research uses Brij® 35 in micellar liquid chromatography to model the ecotoxicity of pesticides, emphasizing its applicability in environmental chemistry and toxicology studies (Stergiopoulos et al., 2023).

Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1 answer
    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  2. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1 answer
    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. For more information, please refer to the Storage and Transport Conditions document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/316/622/storage-transport-conditions-mk.pdf

  3. Regarding Brij 35, what is the average n value for (OCH2CH2)?

    1 answer
    1. The average n value for the empirical formula has not been determined. The average molecular weight is also undetermined.
