Phenanthrene, belonging to the class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, is formed from fossils and incomplete combustion of organic materials.[1] It is widely released into the environment from vehicular emissions, incomplete combustion of wood, coal, and oil burning, coke plants, steelworks and aluminum plants.[1]
This certified reference material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034. This CRM is traceable to primary material from an NMI, e.g. NIST or NMIJ.
