Aplicación

El adyuvante de Freund (incompleto) carece de las Mycobacteria que se encuentran en el adyuvante completo de Freund, por lo que minimiza los efectos secundarios. El adyuvante de Freund incompleto se utiliza para inyecciones de refuerzo. Se utilizó para emulsionar antígenos que se inyectan a los animales para producir anticuerpos monoclonales del antisuero.
Los adyuvantes de Freund pueden utilizarse para producir emulsiones agua-en-aceite de los inmunógenos.′ Los antígenos en emulsiones agua-en-aceite estimulan respuestas de anticuerpo importantes y de larga duración que pueden atribuirse a la baja liberación del antígeno.

Cada ml contiene 0,85 ml de aceite de parafina y 0,15 ml de mannide monooleato.
