General description

Carbonyl iron is a metallic iron which possess metallic magnetic properties.

Application

Carbonyl iron has been used:
  • in the manufacture of bioactive membranes
  • in the manufacture of active magnetic fabrics (AMF)
  • for the fabrication of magnetodielectric tissues (MT)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Carbonyl iron has a role as an absorber of microwave radiation. Carbonyl iron also exhibits shielding properties because of the low density and the connectivity among the fillers it provide. It is used in industries and in the synthesis of nitro-group-containing pharmaceutical ingredients.

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. I need to know the dimensions of the particle and the maximum tolerence in the particles dimension

    1 answer
    1. The particle dimension is approximately between 1.7 and 9.2 microns. No information is available regarding the maximum tolerance.

      Helpful?

  2. Sarebbe possibile avere maggiori informazioni relativamente alle dimensioni delle particelle?

    1 answer
    1. Historically, the particle size is typically less that 10 um. However this material is not tested for nor is it assigned a specification for particle size.
