General description

This support comprises the modified Rink amide linker attached via norleucine to MBHA resin, and is an ideal tool for the Fmoc SPPS of peptide amides. Cleavage from this resin can be effected by a single step treatment with 95% TFA, providing peptide amides in high yields and purities.

Application


  • Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for forensic analysis: LSD-D₃ is utilized as an internal standard in the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry determination of LSD and its metabolites in forensic samples, enhancing accuracy and precision in the analytical results (Johansen and Jensen, 2005).

  • Isotope dilution mass spectrometry in urine testing: Employed in the high-performance liquid chromatography-isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) method, LSD-D₃ serves as a crucial internal standard for the quantification of lysergide (LSD) in urine, aiding in precise and accurate drug testing (White et al., 1999).

  • Automated extraction and LC/MS/MS confirmation: LSD-D₃ is used in the automated extraction of lysergic acid diethylamide from various biological matrices, followed by confirmation using LC/MS/MS. This application highlights its role in improving the efficiency and reliability of toxicological analyses (de Kanel et al., 1998).

  1. How can I determine the exact loading capacity of the MBHA Rink Amide resin, as a range for the loading capacity is given in the specification sheet instead of a one?

    1. The exact loading is present on the batch specific certificate of analysis (COA). The specification sheet only shows the acceptance range for each batch, while the COA will show the testing results for a given batch.

  2. Could you please clarify what is meant by "100-200 mesh"? Does it indicate that the substitution degree of the resin is between 0.1 mmol/g and 0.2 mmol/g?

    1. he term "100-200 mesh" for Rink Amide MBHA resin refers to the particle size of the resin beads, not the substitution degree. The substitution degree for this resin is specified separately and is typically in the range of 0.40–0.90 mmol/g. Therefore, "100-200 mesh" does not indicate a substitution degree of 0.1–0.2 mmol/g.

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
