Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. Hi, are these particles positively or negatively charged and with which functional group? Preferably, I would also like to know with which functional group they are charged/stabilized. I am looking for positive particles!

    1 answer
    1. Polystyrene microparticles are negatively charge-stabilized colloidal particles. These microparticles are produced by polymerization of styrene under conditions that induce spontaneous coalescent bead formation. Polymerization is terminated when two chains react to form a sulfate-terminated polymer chain. Amine-modified beads will have a positive charge under slightly acidic conditions.

  2. Hello, Please tell us in what solvent are suspended the microparticles based on polystyrene (product number 75911).

    1 answer
    1. This product is suspended in water.
