  3. Hi, I wanted to aks if we can work with Glutaraldehyde, Sigma #354400 under a standard LAF bench for sterile cell culture work? Thanks. Best, Julia

    1 answer
    1. No, the safety data sheet for Product 35440, Glutaraldehyde, suggests to use this chemical under a fume hood to avoid inhalation and generation of vapours/aerosols. A laminar flow hood is unlike a fume hood in that it pulls air horizontal and parallel towards the work surface while a fume hood recirculates air back into the hood to remove harmful contaminants. For more details about safely handling this chemical please refer to the SDS using this link: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/sds/mm/354400.
