Description

General description

Tris Buffered Saline with 0.05% Tween^® 20 or TBST has a low concentration of detergent with a slightly basic pH of 8.0. It is a commonly used washing buffer alternative to PBS-T in many immunodetection techniques. It decreases non-specific bindings from the western blot membrane and microtiter plate walls.

Application

Suitable for use as a wash buffer in:

• Western blot
• ELISA
• Immunohistochemistry

Preparation Note

Contents of one pouch, when dissolved in 500 mL of distilled or deionized water, will yield a 1× solution containing 50 mM Tris, 138 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl; 0.05%Tween 20 (w/v), pH 8.0 at 25 °C. Certified to be DNAse, RNAse, Protease, and Nickase free.

Store at room temperature. Product may naturally agglomerate but can be simply broken up within the pouch prior to use.
