Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. Can these membrane filters be sterilized in the autoclave?

    1 answer
    1. No, nylon membranes should not be autoclaved. They can be sterilized by ethylene oxide exposure or gamma irradiation.

      Helpful?

  2. I would like to request following information on nylon membrane filter. 1) Is this filter suitable for air sampling? 2) Is this filter stable to oxidants ( SO2, NOx and ozone)?

    1 answer
    1. The suitability of this nylon membrane filter for air sampling depends on the specific method chosen. This filter has not been evaluated for stability against oxidants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and ozone.
