Amphetamine is a stimulant of the phenethylamine class found in ADHD-treatment drugs such as Adderall^®, Vyvanse^®, and ProCentra^®. Because of its stimulant effect, amphetamine is used recreationally as a performance-enhancer and illicit drug.
