Általános leírás

Bacitracin is a polypeptide antibiotic recovered from certain strains of B. subtilis and B. licheniformis. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis.[1][2]

Alkalmazás

Bacitracin may be used as a pharmaceutical secondary reference standard for the determination of the analyte in serum samples[3] and food samples[4] by chromatography techniques.
