Opis ogólny

Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
Clindamycin is a common antibiotic drug generally employed for the treatment of infections caused by gram-positive aerobes and both gram-negative and gram-positive anaerobic pathogens.[1]

Zastosowanie

Clindamycin hydrochloride may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography[2][1] and potentiometry[3] techniques.
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.   2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  3. Hi, when we dilute clindamycin hydrochloride PHR1159 in water, where should we store it? Thanks

    1. This product is soluble in water at 50 mg/ml. The solution stability of this material in water has not been determined. However, solutions diluted to 1 mg/mL may be stored in aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

  4. Hello! I took a look at the SDS, and found that there is no data available for clindamycin's water solubility. My team plans on purchasing this product for lab use; may I receive the information regarding clindamycin's water solubility?

    1. The literature states Clindamycin hydrochloride is water soluble. The optical rotation activity is determined in water. Please note that water solubility for product number PHR1159 (Clindamycin hydrochloride) is not determined internally.
