General description
カテプシンDは、リソソームに存在するアスパラギン酸プロテアーゼです。タンパク質の異化に関与し、ホルモンと抗原の処理を維持します。カテプシンDは、腫瘍形成と神経変性の変化に関係しています。リソソームのタンパク質分解と内因性線維素溶解を制御します。
Biochem/physiol Actions
エンドソ-ム-リソソ-ムのアスパラギン酸プロテア-ゼであり、乳がん転移やアルツハイマ-病に関与しています。ヒト包皮繊維芽細胞のアポト-シスにおいて、カテプシンDのリソソ-ム放出は、シトクロムcの遊離や膜電位の低下よりも先に起こることが確認されています。
カテプシンDはエンドソ-ム-リソソ-ムのアスパラギン酸プロテア-ゼであり、乳がん転移やアルツハイマ-病に関与しています。ヒト包皮繊維芽細胞のアポト-シスにおいて、カテプシンDのリソソ-ム放出はシトクロムcの遊離や膜電位の低下よりも先に起こることが確認されています。PC12細胞のカテプシンD量は、アポト-シス誘導後12~24時間で増加します。

1ユニットは、基質として酸変性ヘモグロビンを使用し、pH 3.3、37 °Cで30分あたりTCA可溶化生成物のA280値を1.0増加させる量です(光路長1 cm)。
