General description

ヒト白血球由来カテプシンGは、好中性顆粒球により分泌される中性プロテアーゼです。セリンプロテアーゼファミリーに属します。カテプシンGは糖タンパク質であり、1%の炭化水素を含有します。遺伝子はヒト染色体（14q12）に位置してます。

Application

ヒト白血球由来カテプシンGは、プロテアーゼ感受性を測定するために使用されてきました。また、樹状細胞やマクロファージの刺激や染色のためにも使用されてきました。

Biochem/physiol Actions

カテプシンGはアポト-シス誘導活性を有しており、in vitroでカスパ-ゼを活性化します。
ヒト白血球由来カテプシンGは、エラスチン、コラーゲン、フィブリノーゲン、および免疫グロブリンなど、さまざまなタンパク質を分解します。筋肉異化に関与している可能性があります。カテプシンGは、タンパク質ホルモンの活性化や不活性化、および血漿プロテアーゼ阻害剤の不活性化に関与しています。サイトカイン骨格を変化させ、血管内皮細胞の透過性を強化し、炎症細胞の走化性（ケモタキシス）を増強します。 カテプシンGは、自己免疫およびがんに関連しています。キモトリプシンやトリプシンに似た活性を発揮します。カテプシンGは、好中球のエフェクター機能を調節します。
