Cyclopentyl methyl ether (CPME) is a greener alternative solvent to many aprotic ether solvents such as tetrahydrofuran (THF), 2-methyl tetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF), dioxane (carcinogenic), tert-Butyl methyl ether (MTBE), and 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) and thus has been enhanced for "Safer Solvents and Auxiliaries".  Click here  for more information.

Aplicação

CPME is a greener alternative solvent and may be used is a broad range of applications such as:

Organic synthesis reactions containing the following reagents and conditions:

  1. Alkali agents
  2. Lewis’s acid-mediated reactions
  3. Organometallic
  4. Reduction and Oxidation
  5. Transition metal catalysts
  6. Azeotropic water removal
