General description

Rekombinante, in E. coli exprimierte α2-3,6,8,9-Neuraminidase aus Arthrobacter ureafaciens. Katalysiert die Hydrolyse aller nicht-reduzierenden terminalen Sialinsäurereste aus komplexen Kohlenhydraten und Glycoproteinen. Hohe Konzentrationen dieser Sialidase und lange Inkubationszeiten führen zur zusätzlichen Spaltung verzweigter Sialinsäuren. Dieses Enzym ist in zwei aktive Spezies mit Molekülmassen von 60.000 und 69.000 unterteilt.
