Calcium pantothenate, the calcium salt of pantothenic acid, is a coenzyme A component that plays an important role in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. It is employed in vitamin supplements for the treatment of acne, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.[1]

Zastosowanie

Calcium pantothenate may be used as an EP reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by various chromatography[2][3][4] and spectrophotometric[5] techniques.

Precursor in the biosynthesis of coenzyme A.
