アルコールオキシダーゼ（AOX）は、分子量600 kDaのホモ八量体です。フラビンアデニンジヌクレオチド（FAD）補因子8個を有します。グルコース-メタノール-コリン（GMC）オキシドレダクターゼファミリーに属します。[1]

アプリケーション

Pichia pastorisから得たアルコールオキシダーゼ溶液は、綿ペクチンメチルエステラーゼ（PME）酵素アッセイに使用されています。[2]また、発酵飲料サンプル中のエタノールを測定するディップスティックフォーマットの視覚バイオセンサーとしてポリアニリン（PANI）フィルムに固定化するためにも使用されています。[3]
アルコールオキシダーゼは、ペルオキシソームへのタンパク質の移動を研究するために使用される場合があります。製品A2404は、Pichia pastoris由来です。これはHv-p68 cDNAクローンの細菌発現と免疫学的検証に使用されています[4]。

生物化学的／生理学的作用

アルコールオキシダーゼは、短鎖、第1級脂肪族アルコールのそれぞれのアルデヒドへの酸化を触媒します。これはメタノールに対して最も高い親和性を有します。アルコールオキシダーゼは、メタノールの代謝に関与しています。このことは、メタノールを唯一のエネルギー源として利用する酵母にとって重要です。アルコールオキシダーゼは主にペルオキシソーム内に認められますが、細胞質にも存在する場合があります。
