Bromchlormethan ist ein Nebenprodukt der Wasserdesinfektion durch Chlorierung[1]. Es weist eine potenzielle antimethanogene Aktivität auf und sorgt für eine geringere Methanproduktion im Pansen von Milchziegen[2].

Anwendung

Bromchlormethan wurde zur Synthese und Charakterisierung von Poly(methylendicarboxylaten)[3] verwendet.
