Anwendungsgebiete von Humanserum: Als Bestandteil von phosphatgepufferter Kochsalzlösung mit Tween®-Detergens (PBST) im Bridging-ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay), als biologische Scheinprobe zur Beurteilung der Leistung des papierbasierten ELISA-Assays mit komplexen biologischen Proben, als Verdünnungsmittel zur Erstellung einer Verdünnungsreihe der Baseline-Probe für die Erstellung einer Standardkurve für NISTmAb als Zusatz zu Serum, sowie für die Multiples Myelom(MM)-Patientenprobe MM2232
Humanes AB-Serum wird für folgende Anwendungen eingesetzt: Gewebebearbeitung; Transplantations- und Zelltherapieanwendungen zur Expansion mesenchymaler Stammzellen aus adipösem Gewebe oder mesenchymaler Stromazellen aus humanem Knochenmark; Gewinnung und Transplantation limbaler epithelialer Stammzelltransplantate, Ex-vivo-Expansion von NK-Zellen aus peripherem Blut in Expansionsmedium für hematopoetische Stammzellen; Verbesserung der Kulturmethoden für humane Inselzellen vor der Transplantation.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Humanes AB-Serum wird in der Regel gewonnen, indem Vollblut auf natürliche Weise gerinnen kann, was als Off-The-Clot- bzw. OTC-Serum bezeichnet wird. Humanserum aus geronnenem Vollblut wird bevorzugt, da es in der Regel höhere Konzentrationen und ein vielfältigeres Spektrum von Wachstumsfaktoren für ein optimales Zellwachstum enthält. Humanserum von Spendern der Blutgruppe AB enthält keine spezifischen Antikörper gegen die Blutgruppenantigene A und B. Dadurch ist es ein universelles Spenderserum und für verschiedene Zellkulturtypen geeignet, einschließlich humaner Stammzelllinien.
Packaging
Die Verpackung kann sich aufgrund einer Knappheit der Flaschen, die zum Verpacken dieses Produkts verwendet werden, bei verschiedenen Chargen unterscheiden. Das Vorhandensein oder Fehlen von Schrumpffolie um den Flaschendeckel beeinträchtigt die Integrität/Sterilität des Produkts nicht.

If this is "serum" derived from "plasma" the plasma would have contained anti-coagulant. To turn the plasma into serum it has to be clotted. Has this product been clotted to remove the fibrin? Or is it still in fact plasma?

The product has been clotted. Blood is collected and treated with citrate (anticoagulant) which inhibits clotting initially. The blood is then centrifuged. When the spin is complete, layers will appear which allow a differentiation between the cells and the plasma. The plasma is removed and calcium is added to activate the clotting cascade. The preparation is then centrifuged again and the result is a large clot which is pelleted to the bottom of the tube with a serum layer on top.
