    1. The size is determined by a dynamic light scattering technique. This method measures fluctuations in the intensity of scattered light from a sample, which are directly related to the Brownian motion of the particles. Smaller particles move faster, causing more rapid fluctuations in the scattered light. This allows for the calculation of their diffusion coefficient and subsequently their size using the Stokes-Einstein equation.
