HDAC7 (histone deacetylase 7) is located on human chromosome 12q13.[1] It is expressed in fetal and adult pre-B cells.[2]

Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.

Ações bioquímicas/fisiológicas

Histone deacetylases (HDACs) play crucial roles in the epigenetic modulation of gene expression and helps in the growth, differentiation, and apoptosis of cancer cells.[3] Knockdown of HDAC7 stimulates apoptosis and autophagy in salivary mucoepidermoid carcinoma cells.[4] It may play a vital role in both types of B lymphopoiesis. HDAC7 serves as a repressor of myeloid genes.[2]

Nota de preparo

Thaw on ice. Upon first thaw, briefly spin tube containing enzyme to recover full content of the tube. Aliquot enzyme into single use aliquots. Store remaining undiluted enzyme in aliquots at -70°C. Note: Enzyme is very sensitive to freeze/thaw cycles.
