Ficoll® 400 is a non-ionic synthetic polymer of sucrose used for cell separation and organ isolation.
Aplicação
Usado na separação de células e isolamento de organelas.
Suitable for
- hybridization experiments to reduce non-specific binding of labeled probes to the membrane[1]
- preparation of DNA loading buffer (15% Ficoll®, 0.25% bromophenol blue and 0.25% xylene cyanol FF
- separation of cells with similar density but different size (PBMC from human peripheral blood, bone marrow and umbilical cord blood)
- producing density gradients to separate subcellular components
- vitrification of cell and tissue samples.[2]
- to compare the effect of different perfusates on Hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction (HPV).[3]

For humans, we offer H8889, Histopaque®-1077 Hybri-Max™ or 1077-1, Histopaque®-1077. For rodents we offer 1083-1, Histopaque®-1083. For isolation of neutrophils, we offer 1119-1, Histopaque®-1119.
