How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

Unless otherwise stated this product is intended for research use only and is not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses, or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals. For research purposes, in animal models or in vitro assays, the prepared solution would require filter sterilization.

Some research studies on the use of dichloroacetate as an anti-cancer agent have been performed. At this time, no dichloroacetate compound or product has been approved for use as an anti-cancer drug. The common salts of dichloroacetate are sodium and potassium, and these are what have been used in the research studies. The Sigma-Aldrich products 347795, Sodium Dichloroacetate, and 348082, Potassium Dichloroacetate, are offered for laboratory use only, and are not manufactured or intended for human use.
