Allgemeine Beschreibung

HiCrome™ UTI Agar, modifiziert ist ein chromogenes Differenzierungsmedium für Enterobakterien aus Proben wie z.B. Urin, Wasser oder Nahrungsmitteln, welche evtl. eine grosse Zahl an Proteusspezies, wie auch potentielle pathogene gram-positive Organismen, enthalten. Dieser Modifizierte HiCrome UTI Agar wird auch als Ersatz für MacConkey Agar vorgeschlagen.

Anwendung

Urinary tract infection (UTI) ChromoSelect Agar, modified has been used in the cell culture of Escherichia coli. It has also been used in the culturing of Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli to plate mouse thigh muscle homogenates for bacterial count.

Angaben zur Herstellung

Suspend 55.4 g in 1 litre distilled water. Boil to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 1 bar pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to 50°C and pour into sterile petri plates.
