Application
HiCrome ECC Agar ist ein Differenzierungsmedium empfohlen zur mutmasslichen Identifikation von Escherichia coli und anderen Coliformen in Nahrungsmitteln und Umweltproben. Das chromogene Gemisch enthält zwei chromogene Substrate, das X-Glucuronid und Salmon-GAL. X-Glucuronid wird mittels β-Glucuronidase, produziert von Escherichia coli, gespalten. Salmon-GAL wird mittels dem Enzym Galactosidase gespalten, welche von den meisten Coliformen inkl. E. coli produziert wird. Kolonien: blau/violett
Preparation Note
Suspend 55.8 g in 1 litre distilled water. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 50°C and pour into sterile petri plates
