General description

Chromolith^® columns are made of monolithic silica with a characteristic bimodal pore structure.

Chromolith^® Performance RP-18 endcapped 100-2 columns have macropores with 1.5 μm diameter, giving a column efficiency exceeding 100,000 plates/meter. The mesopores are 13 nm (130 Å), the surface modification is octadecylsilane with full end-capping. Chromolith^® Performance RP-18 endcapped 100-2 columns fall under the USP L1 Classification. The column efficiency is comparable to a 3-4 μm particle size fully porous particulate column. Chromolith^® Performance RP-18 endcapped 100-2 columns are perfectly suitable for LC-MS applications.
The column dimension of 100 mm length and 2 mm I.D. is the best choice for fast separations of complex samples on any U/HPLC System.

Application

• Rapid Determination of 30 Polyphenols in Tongmai Formula: This study utilized the Chromolith^® RP-18 endcapped column in a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry setup to analyze 30 polyphenolic compounds in a traditional Chinese medicine formula, demonstrating its application in pharmaceutical analysis and quality control of complex herbal formulations (Wang et al., 2017).
