Allgemeine Beschreibung

Rubidiumchlorid ist ein Alkalimetallhalogenidsalzund eine ausgezeichnete wasserlösliche Quelle für kristallines Rubidium. Es wird verbreitet inden Bereichen der biomedizinischen Forschung, Elektrochemie, Nanomaterialsynthese undin der Erdölindustrie eingesetzt.

Anwendung

Rubidiumchlorid kann als Dotierstoff für die Synthese von Magnesiumoxid-Nanopartikeln eingesetzt werden.

Es kann auch zur Leistungssteigerung von OLED eingesetzt werden. Zum Beispiel kann eine dünne Schicht RbCl in einer mehrschichtigen OLED (ITO/NPB/Alq3/Al) ihre Elektrolumineszenzeffizienz signifikant steigern. Dies kann aufgrund des Herabsetzens der Elektroneninjektionsbarriere und der Steigerung der Rekombinationsrate durch von der RbCl-Schicht bereitgestellte Fangstellen erfolgen.

Rubidiumchlorid (RbCl) kann auch als nichtinvasiver Biomarker eingesetzt werden.

Es kann auch für die Untersuchung der Auswirkungen von Rb auf den Chronotyp bei Hamstern eingesetzt werden.

If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.

    1. This product is soluble in water (100 mg/ml), yielding a clear to slightly hazy, colorless to very faint yellow solution.  Also, per the chemicals encyclopedia published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, 13th Edition, 1 gram will dissolve in 90ml of Methanol or 1650ml of Ethanol.

The resulting salt can then be purified by recrystallization.RbOH(aq) + HCl(aq) -> RbCl(aq) + H2O(l)Rubidium(I) bromide can also be made by the neutralization of rubidium(I) carbonate with hydrobromic acid. The resulting salt can then be purified by recrystallization.Rb2(CO3)(aq) + 2HBr(aq) -> 2RbBr(aq) + H2O(l) + CO2(g)While not a normal route of preparation because of the expense, rubidium metal reacts vigorously with all the halogens to form rubidium halides.     1. Yes, Rubidium Chloride is hygroscopic and will absorb water.  This should be taken into account when handling and storing this compounds.  Flushing the head space of the bottle with Nitrogen and storing it in a dessicator will help to keep the material from absorbing moisture.
