Sigma′s Prehybridization Solution is a 2x ready-to-use buffer for Northern and Southern blot protocols.

Application

Suitable for use as a pre-hybridization buffer in Northern and Southern blot protocols.

Preparation Note

Sigma′s 2X Prehybridization Solution contains 200 μg/mL DNA in 10x SSC and 2X Denhardt′s solutions:
  • 200 μg/mL DNA
  • 2mg Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
  • 2mg Ficoll
  • 2mg Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)
  • 0.15 M sodium citrate
  • 1.5M NaCl
