The interferon α 2 (IFN-α2) exists in three forms 2a, 2b and 2c. It consists of 165 amino acids and five α helices. IFN-α2B is found structurally stable at pH 7. The recombinant IFN-α is nonglycosylated compared to the natural human IFN-α.[1]

生物化学的／生理学的作用

IFNα2BはI型インターフェロンタンパク質ファミリーに属しています。IFNα2Bはウイルス感染に応答し、多くの細胞タイプによって産生されます。IFNα2Bは抗増殖活性と抗腫瘍活性を持ち、アポトーシス誘導と炎症反応を示します。抗原ペプチドの提示を促し、細胞傷害性T細胞の活性を高めることで、MHCタンパク質の発現を亢進します。

調製ノート

HumanKine IFNα-2Bは、ヒトHEK293細胞で発現されるグリコシル化単量体で、見かけ上の分子量は16 kDaです。ヒトHEK293細胞で産生した場合、正しくグリコシル化が行われます。グリコシル化により、細胞増殖培地やその他用途での安定性が得られます。

特異的活性は、水疱性口内炎ウイルス(VSV)の存在下における異数体ヒト羊膜細胞株(WISH)の用量依存的な増殖によって確認されました。
