ブルーデキストランは、デキストランの可溶性誘導体です。その構造内では、トリアジニル色素であるシバクロンブルーF3GAが高分子（2000 kDa）デキストランと共有結合しています。ブルーデキストランは、ゲル濾過クロマトグラフィーカラムのボイド容量を測定するためのマーカーとして一般的に使用されます。
アプリケーション
ブルーデキストランは、サイズ排除クロマトグラフィー（SEC）カラムのキャリブレーションのために使用されています。また、上皮細胞を含む共培養の完全性を測定するためのデキストランブルー透過性アッセイにも使用されています。ブルーデキストランは、アフィニティクロマトグラフィー、ゲル濾過クロマトグラフィー、タンパク質クロマトグラフィーや、分子量マーカーとして使用される可能性があります。ブルーデキストランはアルツハイマー病の研究にも適しています。′
