ポリ(3,4-エチレンジオキシチオフェン)-ポリ(スチレンスルホナート)(PEDOT:PSS)は有機半導体であり、抱合PEDOTを対イオンとして機能するスルホン化PSSでドープしたものです。PEDOTが導電機構を担い、水和コロイド溶液はPSSにより形成されます。[1][2]
PEDOT:PSSは電気伝導度が高く耐酸化性が良好なので、電磁遮蔽および雑音抑圧に適しています。したがって、このポリマーフィルムは可視光スペクトル全域、さらに近IR領域および近UV領域においても透明性が高く、900~2,000 nmを実質的に100%吸収します。400~800 nmに吸収極大はありません。[3]

アプリケーション

PEDOT:PSSは、本質的に導電性のポリマーとして機能し、エレクトロニクスおよびオプトエレクトロニクスベースの用途において低コストの印刷を行うために、さまざまな基質およびフラーレン(C60)などのナノ粒子にコーティングできます。[4][5]ポリエチレングリコールジアクリラートと共にPEDOT:PSSを使用して導電性ハイドロゲルを調製でき、組織エンジアリングへの応用が期待されます[6]

  1. What is the minimum temperature for curing required for the pedot to anneal properly and what is the required time at the minimum temperature

    1. It is suggested to dry this product after coating at 130 °C for >3 minutes.

  2. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.   3. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  5. Is the ink ready to inkjet through a 16um nozzle? I tried but it seems to has a higher viscosity. How can I lower the viscosity?

    1. Unfortunately, the suitability to use a 16um nozzle is not determined. However, the end-user can dilute the PEDOT:PSS solution using water.

    1. This product is a dark blue liquid that is sold by weight. The package quantity is 25 g. Based on the density, the calculated volume is 25.38 mL.

  7. Why does product 739316, Orgacon™ IJ-1005, have a low pH?

    1. Orgacon™ IJ-1005 has a low pH because this ink is intended for use as an HIL (hole-injection layer) in OLED materials. Increasing pH would negatively affect the workfunction, but if you want to print on textiles to obtain conducting lines, you can slightly adjust the pH with amonia or an organic amine base. The ink is in water and typically needs to reach 130°C for drying.

The information on the molecular weights of the PEDOT and PSS used to make each batch is held as proprietary.The exact information on the relative amounts (by weight) of the PEDOT and PSS present in these polymers is also held as proprietary. There is a little more PSS than PEDOT; this is logical, since the formula weight for the monomeric equivalent in PSS (C7H6SO3) is a little higher than the formula weight for the monomeric equivalent in PEDOT (C6H4SO2).The solution, product 739316 is made in situ; it is not made from the dry pellets (product 768618).

  10. Is a dried film of product 739316 (poly(3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate)) stable in air in a laboratory environment?

Product 739316 (poly(3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate)) is susceptible to oxidation and photo degradation, however, our supplier has outlined that this concern is in reference to exposure to strong oxidizing agents and UV light in particular. The product when dried on target will be stable in a typical lab air environment, however, one will notice degradation and lack of conductivity when exposed to UV light, strong oxidizing conditions, heat, and or high humidity for extended periods of time.
