AmberChrom 50WX2 200-400 Mesh (H+) Cation Exchange Resin is a heat stable, water stable and low molecular weight cationic substance which is capable of purifying approximately 5000-fold by ion-exchange chromatography.[1] Ion-exchange resins have good role as drug delivery systems.[2]
It is a preferred strong cationic exchange (SCX) resin due to its attractive features such as high capacity, easy availability and ease of operation owing to the lower degree of divinylbenzene cross-linking leading to higher recoveries of aromatic amino acids.[3]
Strongly acidic cation exchange resin. This ion-exchange resin has not been specially processed or cleaned. We suggest that it be subjected to a suitable preliminary elution and wash prior to use.

Aplicação

AmberChrom 50WX2 200-400 Mesh (H+) Cation Exchange Resin was used to remove calcium from aqueous samples.[4]
It may be used for the purification of amino acids from plant samples prior to their determination by methyl chloroformate derivatization followed by analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).[3] It may be used as a catalyst for the esterification reaction of hydrolyzed sea mango (Cerebra odollam) oil[5] and as a stationary phase material of ion-exchange column of flow-injection analysis (FIA) system for chemiluminescent analysis of nitrates in aqueous solutions.[6]
