Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

Nukleosid-Analogon mit antimykotischen Aktivitäten. 5-FC wird durch Cytosindeaminase zu 5-Fluoruracil deaminiert, was zur RNA Fehlcodierung führt. 5-Fluorcytosin hemmt die DNA- und RNA-Synthese und stört die ribosomale Proteinsynthese.
