Beschreibung

General description

Reserpin ist ein 36-Carbon-Indol-Alkaloid, das hauptsächlich als tranquilisierender Wirkstoff in Arzneimitteln verwendet wird. Es wird vor allem als Arzneistoff für Hypertonie eingesetzt.

Application

Es wurde als Massenkalbrierungsstandard bei der koppelnden Kapillarelektrophorese mittels Elektrosprayionisation-Flugzeit-Massenspektrometrie (CE-TOFMS) verwendet, um das Problem der abnehmenden Sensitivität bei der Detektion der Metabolom-Differenzanzeige zu umgehen.[1]
