Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeabler, nicht reversibler Inhibitor der Endothel-Stickstoffmonoxid-Synthase (eNOS). Hemmt bewiesenermaßen die Acetylcholin-induzierte Entspannung vorangespannter Ratten-Brustschlagaderringe (IC₅₀ = 180 nM). Hemmt zudem iNOS in Makrophagen (IC₅₀ = 50 nM). Blockiert K⁺- und Ca²⁺-Ströme in arteriellen glatten Muskelzellen. Inhibitor der mitochondrialen NADPH-Ubichinon-Oxido-Reduktase.

Hemmt bewiesenermaßen die Acetylcholin-induzierte Entspannung vorangespannter Ratten-Brustschlagaderringe (IC₅₀ = 180 nM). Blockiert K⁺- und Ca²⁺-Ströme in arteriellen glatten Muskelzellen. Inhibitor der mitochondrialen NADH-Ubichinon-Oxidoreduktase. Hemmt andere NADH-nutzende Flavoproteine wie NADPH-Oxidase in menschlichen Neutrophilen und Makrophagen. Verursacht blutdrucksteigernde und tachykarde Wirkungen über indirekte Aktivierung des sympathischen Nervensystems.
