General description

The buffer is a 100 mM potassium acetate, pH 5.0 ready-to-use solution prepared with 18 megaohm water and 0.2 μm filtered.

Application

Potassium acetate buffer solution, pH 5.0 is suitable for:
  • Buffering urine in drug hydrolysis procedures when using limpet β-glucuronidase enzymes such as SRE0093, SRE0095, G8132 & G2174
  • The enzymatic assay of β-glucuronidase from Helix pomatia and Bovine Liver (Protocol)
  • Use as a general laboratory pH 5.0 acetate buffering reagent.

The potassium acetate buffer solution was developed specifically for use with the recombinant limpet β-glucuronidase enzyme products SRE0093 and SRE0095. The buffer is free of phosphate, detergents, carbohydrates and other components that may interfere with analysis methods.

Storage and Stability

Store the product at 2-8 °C. When stored unopened at 2-8 °C, the buffer is stable for at least two years.
