General description
Ten test chloru Spectroquant® umożliwia dokładne oznaczenie ilościowe. Chlorowane środki dezynfekujące są nadal w powszechnym użyciu na całym świecie, a ich głównym zastosowaniem jest chlorowanie wody pitnej i basenów. W słabo kwaśnym roztworze wolny chlor reaguje z dipropylo-p-fenylenodiaminą (DPD), tworząc czerwono-fioletowy barwnik, który jest oznaczany fotometrycznie. W obecności jodku potasu, w reakcji tej mierzony jest również połączony chlor.
Metoda jest analogiczna do EPA 330.5, APHA 4500-Cl2 G i DIN EN ISO 7393-2.
