Nuclear receptor interacting protein 2 (NRIP2) is a serine/threonine kinase, encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 12p13. The encoded protein belongs to the aspartic protease family and contains a caspase recruitment domain (CARD) that is involved in the toll-like receptor signaling pathway.

生物化学的／生理学的作用

Nuclear receptor interacting protein 2 (NRIP2) interacts with retinoic acid-related orphan receptor β (RORβ) and high mobility group box (HMG) box-containing protein 1 (HBP1). It regulates Wnt activity and promotes self-renewal of colorectal cancer initiating cells (CCICs). In addition, the protein also plays a vital role in DNA mismatch repair in colorectal cancer cells. NRIP2 gene mutations might be associated with asthma severity in Japanese population.
