Is Product APF, Alkaline Phosphatase Detection Kit, Fluorescence, used to measure the alkaline phosphatase (AP) activity of cell lysates or the AP activity secreted by cells?

The technical bulletin provides procedures for both. The kit was originally designed for secreted alkaline phosphatase (SEAP), because the human placental SEAP standard that comes with the kit is a secreted enzyme. Its activity in the cell sample can be measured nondestructively and repeatedly over time using an aliquot of the culture medium. It saves time required for cell extract preparations.
