18:0 DDAB is cationic lipid[1] and a quaternary ammonium salt.[2] The hydrocarbon tails are saturated unlike the ionizable lipids.[1]

Applicazioni

18:0 DDAB is suitable for the preparation of lipid-nanoparticles.[1] It has also been used as an adjuvant and combined with monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL) for immunizing mice.[3]

Azioni biochim/fisiol

18:0 DDAB is a surface-active molecule, used as an adjuvant to induce systemic immune response. It is non-toxic.[2]
