Descrizione generale

Il monosaccaride D-(+)-glucosio è la principale fonte di energia sotto forma di ATP per gli organismi viventi.[1] È stato studiato l′effetto indotto dall′aggiunta di glucosio come supplemento ai terreni di infezione di oocisti di Cryptosporidium parvum.[2] Il modello del glucosio legato a polimeri ha dimostrato di essere utile nella sintesi parallela in più fasi di diversi composti.[3]

Applicazioni

Il D-(+)-glucosio è stato usato come standard per la stima dello zucchero totale nell′amido idrolizzato con il metodo dell′acido fenolsolforico.[4]
È stato usato nella preparazione dei seguenti terreni liquidi per la coltura di cellule di lievito:[5]
  • Brodo di glucosio CM senza HIS (istidina)
  • Brodo di glucosio CM senza URA (uracile)
  • Brodo di glucosio CM senza TRP (triptofano)

Nota sulla preparazione

Se preparato in concentrazioni più alte di 2 g + 15 ml, questo prodotto può dare origine a soluzioni giallastre.

  1. Is it alpha d glucose crystal?

    1. This product is not tested to determine the amounts of alpha and beta anomers on a lot to lot basis, but it contains both alpha and beta anomers. Historical data indicates approximately 90% a-Glucose and 7% b-Glucose. Please note that When D-glucose is dissolved in water, the optical rotation gradually changes (mutarotates) due to the formation of an equilibrium mixture consisting of approximately one-third α- and two-thirds β-D-glucose.

  2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     1. The are several differences between products G8270 and G5767. The primary difference is the biological source. G8270 is sourced from Maize while G5767 is sourced from Wheat.
