Combined effect of NaNO2 and NaCl on the growth of Listeria monocytogenes in tryptone soya broth has been investigated using automated turbidimetric system.[1] Its carcinogenic effects in F-344 rats have been evaluated.[2]

Anwendung

Sodium nitrite may be used as a standard for the quantitative determination of nitrite in culture medium.[3] It may be used in the preparation of isopropyl nitrite, via reaction with isoamyl alcohol.[4]
