Application

o-Dianisidine (3,3′-dimethoxybenzidine) has been used as a component of GO (glucose oxidase) reagent, which is used for measuring the glucose content. It has also been used as a substrate to measure myeloperoxidase activity.

Biochem/physiol Actions

o-Dianisidin (3,3′-Dimethoxybenzidin) ist ein Peroxidasesubstrat, geeignet für den Einsatz in ELISA-Verfahren. Dieses Substrat produziert ein lösliches Endprodukt von gelb-oranger Farbe und kann spektralphotometrisch bei 405 nm abgelesen werden. Die Reaktion kann mit 5 M HCl gestoppt werden.
